Choose wording your relatives will recognize. A surname, gathering place or shared joke gives you something specific to work with. Read the fixed words in the design before deciding what to add.

Start with a name or place

These lines leave room for your own details:

• “Together since [year].”
• “[Family name] reunion, [place], [year].”
• “Home is where our family gathers.”
• “One family, many chapters.”
• “Backyard bash.”

Use a year with a clear meaning to the family. If several surnames are represented, agree on an event name everyone can use.

Keep the joke recognizable

A line about the dessert table or a family habit can work without explaining a long story. Ask the person named in a joke before printing it.

• “If you can’t find us, check the dessert table.”
• “Cousin crew, powered by snacks.”
• “We came, we saw, we took a group photo.”
• “Auntie’s recipes, Uncle’s stories.”
• “Remember the great pie fight?”

Treat these as wording ideas. Change a phrase only if the listing offers that part of the artwork as an editable field.

Read the whole design together

A family name, slogan, year and location can become a lot of text. Keep the wording short enough to read at the intended print size. Check its spacing and alignment with the illustration, including any ribbon or badge around it.

Choose colors with enough contrast to see the words. Confirm available print positions before planning different text on the front and back.

Collect the order details

Send relatives the exact listing and garment options. Record the garment, size, color, quantity and approved personalization for each person. Use the product’s own size chart.

Check the final cart entry by entry. Base extras on known guests and your budget; an extra shirt in every size adds cost and may still miss the size a late guest needs.

If you order a sample, allow for its production, delivery and inspection before placing the remaining order. Keep a copy of the checked wording with your order confirmation.
